Choosing lens thickness - a guide
When choosing your lenses the issue of 'what lens do I choose?' always comes up.
This is our simple guide.
Plastic CR39 - not all lenses are the same !
1.498 CR39 plastic - is used as 'standard' and should be used in basic distance glasses and reading glasses where impact resistance is not an issue.
It is by no means the perfect optical material.
It is advised for prescriptions lower than +2 to +3 depending on the finish and about -2.00 Dioptres.
We use Hoya lenses or Kodak Lenses as standard.
Anti Reflective Lenses are not all the same and thats why we use branded lenses of high quality.
Anti scratch lenses are not all the same - that is a fact - ask anyone our lenses are of high quality.
Transitions ( we use proper transitions lenses )

Transitions Lenses are Photochromatic.
